Thrings Solicitor, Kai von Pahlen, organises an ICE course and raises £500 for Southmead Hospital

Following Halsall’s charity Mendip cycle ride on May 25th that Thrings’ construction solicitor Kai von Pahlen took part in, Kai was keen to help fulfil their pledge and raise even more money.

Impressed by Halsall’s hard work, Kai organised an ICE course and raised £500 for Southmead Hospital.

On 27 June 2018, Kai helped members of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) brush up on their knowledge of contract law and construction disputes in a half day course at Thrings’ Bristol office. The purpose of the course was to address legal issues likely to come up on the job of the attending civil engineers. One of the engineers said, “I found the course to be very good. Kai explained the key elements of a contract very well. It was also very informative, involved and full of insights.”

In exchange for Kai’s half-day course, the ICE agreed to donate £500 towards Halsall Construction’s pledge to raise £15,000 for the renal service at Southmead Hospital, its nominated charity of the year for 2018.

A huge thanks to Kai and Thrings for his generosity in supporting the Cause.
