Teaming up with Coastline to provide work placement opportunities

We have recently teamed up with Coastline at our site in Helston where we are building 22 apartments for older persons, to provide valuable work experience for students from Work Skills Training Academy.

This included an on-site safety induction for 12 students lead by our Safety, Health & Environmental (SHEQ) Advisor, Steve Sanders. The induction included a health & safety briefing covering site specific rules, PPE, who the first aiders on site are, what to do if an accident occurred and details of the current project underway. After the health & safety brief, students were taken on a site tour by our Site Manager, Brian Barrett. For some of the learners, this was their first live site experience.

Following the induction, we placed 6 learners in site work experience learning basic skills and shadowing experienced tradesmen for 6 days over a two week period.
