On Tuesday 10th January 2023, our site St Ederyn’s Primary School in Cardiff was awarded Halsall’s highest ever CCS score following their Considerate Constructors Scheme on-site visit.
Our Site Manager for the project, Steve Garlick, was praised for his detailed site induction, leadership, and commitment to environmental responsibilities. The team received exemplary feedback on engagement with the local residents and neighbours, the broad display of Halsall Values, as well as the thorough Health and Safety procedures across site, for which the St Ederyn’s team won the company’s annual Health and Safety award for last year.
A large proportion of the site report from CCS focused on the commitment to environmental duties. As a business, we understand the importance of reducing our carbon footprint, and the team at St Ederyn’s demonstrate this with their strict carbon reduction policy that further extends to their supply chain. The site team were also recognised specifically for going above and beyond air monitoring requirements following an identification of asbestos on the ground, demonstrating the detailed level of care we aim to achieve with each project.
Having scored of 15 for the community, environment, and workforce categories, we are delighted to share that we achieved a top score of 45 for our Considerate Constructors Scheme Report. We work tirelessly to produce results that meet and succeed our customer’s expectations, ensuring that we simultaneously provide the best service possible service to the local communities, and proud that our St Ederyn’s site team are demonstrating exactly that.
