Chris joined Halsall on Monday 3rd April and has spent his first few weeks getting to know our team, familiarising himself with our projects, and getting stuck into the day to day running of the business.
After a delicious and sociable lunch, Chris gathered everyone in the business for the staff day presentation following introductions.
Gary Winsor, our Operations Director, gave updates on all of our current projects, before Chris took the lead with updating the company on our business pipeline, our company’s financial overview, results from our staff survey and answers to anonymous questions provided prior to the day.
Our new SHEQ Manager, Peter Day, presented our Health and Safety award to our winning team at Block G, Wapping Wharf, Bristol for their tireless hard work in keeping their site at the highest H&S standards.
Finishing the formalities, Chris presented long service awards to Gary Winsor who has been an integral part of the business for 10 years, and Ruth Horler, our Accounts Clerk, for her loyalty to the business for an astounding 25 years.
Ending the afternoon, we gathered in the glorious sunshine to continue socialising with a drink or two, enabling us to connect, catch up with our colleagues and let our hair down a little in preparation for the weekend.
It was a fantastic opportunity for our team members to understand our new MDs thoughts and plans for the future of the business, to keep everyone up to date about business affairs and reconnect with those we don’t have the opportunity to see day-to-day. The presentation was very successful and the afternoon itself was filled with an abundance of positivity and laughter.
