Each year Halsall ask all employees to nominate a charity that has individual personal significance to raise money for. This year there were four nominations put forward. They were:
Sepsis Trust – This is a charity that seek to save lives from sepsis, and improve outcomes for survivors, by instigating political change, educating healthcare professionals, raising public awareness and providing support for those affected by this devastating condition. They will protect people by enabling the prevention of severe infection and the treatment of sepsis, whist helping to ensure antibiotics are used responsibly.
MIND – This is a charity that provides advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.
Mencap – This is a charity that is a leading voice of learning disability. Everything they do is about valuing and supporting people with a learning disability, and their families and carers. Their vision is a world where people with a learning disability are valued equally, listened to and included.
Ultimately, Halsall chose Lisa’s Army as the charity for 2019/2020. As a gesture Halsall are donating £100 each to Sepsis Trust, MIND and Mencap.
