The first timberframe soleplates have gone down at Castle Cary this week.
With GWorks and Carlow completing the installation of 2 of the 3 concrete surface water attenuation tanks, a 68m long PCC box culvert under the adopted road, a culverted watercourse for road access; faced in recon stone, most of the roadway up and base tarmac laid, a foul drainage diversion, up to 2.4m high retaining walls, masses of under build, founds, beam and block, we can finally see the first signs of houses!
The scheme is an open market led development of 24 outright sale houses, 18 affordable rent flats and 8 shared ownership units for Yarlington Homes. Welling Partnership are the Employer’s Agents and the design team are GCP, Shear Design and Focus on Design.
