Halsall delighted to announce their Charity of the Year!

Halsall has pledged to continue its charitable support this year by announcing its ‘Charity of the Year’ as the Southmead Hospital Charity, specifically its renal fund.

The Southmead Hospital Charity raises money to support the work of Southmead Hospital, Cossham Hospital and other community health services in the Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset areas. Working alongside staff and patients, the Charity fund-raises for projects which are beyond the remit of the NHS but which have a huge impact on the lives of patients.

Following on from the Company’s successful fund-raising last year, Andy Corp, Halsall’s Managing Director, is confident that Halsall can be as equally successful and is looking forward to supporting ‘The Southmead Hospital Charity’ throughout 2018 and beyond adding:

I am aware that the Hospital has been at the forefront of the kidney transplant programme for many years and has some of the best success rates in the country. One of our colleagues has recently needed the help and support of the Renal facilities so choosing a new charity which reflects our thanks, was a great decision to make. We’re passionate about this commitment which makes supporting ‘The Southmead Hospital Trust’ a really worthwhile and moving venture. Knowing that the money we will be able to raise will be used to improve the lives of so many who will be faced with such adversity, is something we’re very proud of”.

Halsall will support the The Southmead Hospital Charity over the forth-coming year pledging to raise £15,000 for the vital funds needed outside of the budgets of the NHS.

The Southmead Hospital Charity’s spokesperson Adrian Brown, Communities Appeals Manager said:

“We’re delighted that Halsall has chosen us as their Charity of the Year and are going to raise money for our renal fund following the care one of their employees has received at Southmead Hospital.  We really value their support and are looking forward to a very successful  12 months of fundraising.  As a local charity we’re very grateful for corporate support from local businesses and it’s wonderful that Halsall is creating opportunities for members of the public to get involved with their fundraising.”

Halsall’s first official event is a cycle ride next Friday; the Halsall Mendip Cycle Challenge will start at 8.30am at the Chilcompton Sports Ground with teams of up to 4 cyclists pedalling their way over 20, 40 or a challenging 60 mile course.
