Halsall team up with Writhlington School under CESW’s ‘Adopt A School’ Campaign

Halsall has ‘adopted’ its local school, Writhlington, as part of the Constructing Excellence South West’s ‘Adopt A School’ campaign to raise the profile of the Construction Industry and to elevate it as a career of choice.

Halsall‘s Helene Cook and Ben Jones paid a visit to the School and explained the Scheme to the students which marked the official launch of the partnership. Both the students and Halsall will have the chance to embark on an exciting  programme of events including a competition to provide sustainable housing on a brownfield site. The School could win £500 for its entry.

With the Industry experiencing good levels of growth, the major issue facing Construction is the ageing workforce and declining numbers of new talent entering the built environment. Almost without exception, every sector of the Industry is struggling to recruit good talent and young people. This is why it is important for Halsall to build relationships with educators.
