Halsall are delighted to announce the new sponsorship of Merriott Squash Club’s home kits this season.
Halsall has a long history of involvement in the surrounding Somerset community and has brand new development set to break ground in Merriott this winter.
The new development which backs onto the Merriott Squash Club will be in partnership with Stonewater and will consist of 16 shared ownership and 23 affordable 2-, 3- and 4-bedroom homes. Halsall are thrilled to be able to help Merriott Squash Club with funding their club this season.
Merriott Squash Club is a thriving, friendly, member-run club, with a growing women’s and youth section too.
With that ethos it is keen to welcome players of all ages and all levels from beginners to Somerset League players.
Kate Edwards, Club Secretary of Merriott Squash Club said:
“We are very proud and grateful to have Halsall on board as our sponsor for the 2021/22 season. This is just the start of what I’m sure will be a long and successful relationship and we would like to pass on our thanks to all those at Halsall for their support of the club.”
“It seems only natural that Merriott Squash Club, the only squash club in the area, should be in partnership with a company who are building new communities on our doorstep and bringing more families to the local area.”
Andy Corp, Managing Director of Halsall said:
“The Merriott Squash Club has stood here for years and is most definitely at the heart of the community which has a huge following locally. So, we are delighted and really proud to be on board. We’re very much looking forward to building a great relationship with the club and the surrounding community and are excited to how our £1,000 sponsorship will make a difference to the club”.
The Halsall logo will sit proudly on the front of Merriott’s teams’ shirts, with its first appearance on Monday 22nd November when Merriott 1’s play away against Shepton Mallett in Division 1 of the Somerset Squash League and Merriott 2’s play home against Wyvern in Division 2.
