Halsall secures planning for three sites across the South West

We are pleased to announce that after successfully sourcing the land and procuring planning consent, we will be entering into construction contracts with three housing associations to build 77 affordable dwellings on sites across the South West.

The first site at Balsam Park, Wincanton, consists of 15 homes for Stonewater Ltd. The homes will comprise a mix of two and three bedroom housetypes.

A reserved matters application is currently being considered by South Somerset District Council and it is hoped to be on site in the early part of 2018.

The second site at Silver Street, Willand was approved by Mid Devon District Council at their planning committee of 28th November.

It will provide 28 affordable rented homes for Devon and Cornwall Housing, and again it is hoped to be on site in the early part of 2018.

The third site at Tregargus Farm, St Stephens consists of 34 affordable homes for Coastline Housing. The scheme will provide a mix of affordable rent and shared ownership properties.

It received unanimous support at Cornwall Councils planning committee that sat on 27th November.

A Reserved Matters application is to be prepared and submitted to allow a start on site in March 2018.

Simon Jenvey, Development Manager said, “After many months in the planning stages, we are delighted to have secured planning for these sites. Creating and investing in communities is something we are proud of, and the new homes will provide much needed affordable housing across the South West”.
