Halsall Construction Ltd shortlisted as a finalist at the West of England LABC Building Excellence Awards 2017

We have been shortlisted as a finalist within the “Best Social or Affordable New Housing Development” for our Kingsmarsh House & Baynton House project in Bristol.

The project involved the construction of 13 council homes, comprising of 12 3/4-bedroom houses and 1 flat over garage, associated hard and soft landscaping, creation of electric mobility scooter store and creation of recycling/refuse area.

Client: Bristol City Council

Value: Circa £2,600,000

Duration & Dates: 52 weeks. Nov 2015 – Nov 2016

 

Key deliverables:

  • Demolition of 2 existing garage sites
  • Maintaining the cycle route from the city centre
  • Traditional construction with a standing seam zinc roof
  • Level 4 of Code for Sustainable Homes
  • Renewables – Photovoltaic array installation
  • Minimal impact to residents whilst under construction.

 

The awards will take place on Friday 14th July 2017 at the Bristol City Centre Marriott. Huge congratulations to our team involved with the project and good luck to all of the nominees!
