Halsall Construction has made a donation to local housing association, Shape, to help keep properties looking their best.
Pledging paint, along with paintbrushes and dustsheets, the building firm has struck up a partnership with the association, which helps vulnerable young and homeless people in and around Bath, providing accommodation and support to help them rebuild their lives.
Shape Housing Association, works with tenants to improve and maintain their own accommodation.
The idea to donate surplus paint from projects came after one of Shape’s housing officers, Tom Box, struck up a conversation with Richard Austin from Halsall at an open day hosted by the association earlier this year.
Tom Box, Housing Officer for Shape said, “We’re really grateful to Halsall for this donation of decorating materials, and for their pledge of ongoing support into the future. It will make a big difference to our tenants who will be able to brighten up their homes to keep them looking fresh.”
Richard Austin, Area Director for Halsall Construction said “We’re really pleased to have this opportunity to be able to offer our support. Shape does excellent work with young people in and around Bath, and we hope that our donations now and into the future will help to support the work of this organisation.”
