Case Study 4 - Development of an Industrial Unit, Coombend, Radstock, Bath. The Partners - Facade Hoists Ltd. and Halsall Construction Ltd.

The Company was approached by Facade Hoists Ltd., with a view to establishing whether we would be interested in developing proposals for the construction of a new factory unit on land upon which they had negotiated ‘Heads of Terms’ to acquire the freehold interest.

We were provided with an outline brief and requested to develop the proposals and budget costings in line with the Client’s requirements from this inception stage.

The project had significant substructure difficulties owing to the prevailing ground conditions and the proximity of previous mine workings.

Detailed planning consent was granted and the project value engineered to a level within the Client’s budget constraints

The contract was then successfully completed.
